Insulation test with the DIATEG Professional!
In addition to the usual safety procedures, a diathermy test device can remove any doubts the surgeon may have about the insulation layer of the electrosurgical instruments.
This device detects damage, porosity, hairline cracks, pinholes and gas pores that impair the effectiveness of the insulation and can result in internal burns.
The testing of such instruments is now mandatory in the Netherlands. This directive should also apply to the whole of Europe in order to reduce the risk for patients and to limit the surgeon’s responsibility for defective instruments.
